Fresh Aloe Vera Juice is harvested from USDA Certified Organic Aloe Vera fields the leaves are rushed into processing. Because this is repacked in a facility that is not Organically certified we do not have a certification certificate. We want you to know however that the initial crops were certified organic.
There are a number of Aloe vera species, but the Aloe barbadensis Miller contains the most beneficial properties and is the only genus used in our SoapGoods Aloe Vera Juice and Gel. Aloe plants, being hearty and pest-resistant, already have an inherent advantage over other crops. In addition to the sharp spines on the leaves, a very bitter substance in the leaves repels insects, animals and birds. Therefore, Aloe vera does not require commercial chemicals for protection.
Aloe vera is grown year-round and is a labor-intensive crop – everything is done by hand. agricultural specialists cultivate the aloe plants with care. The leaves of the aloe plant are harvested continually, every day of the year, and then taken directly to the manufacturing facility for immediate processing.
Our Aloe Vera Gel is from the inner leaf, Inner Gel of the Aloe Leaf, once it is processed breaking down the fillets the fiber becomes pulp and the liquid has a water-like viscosity. This is then thickened with food grade Xanthan Gum.
We recommend refrigeration of your aloe vera to extend shelf life. Estimated shelf life is 1 year unopened or 90 days from opening if refrigerated.
