Botanical Name: Citrus aurantium

Plant Description: The Bitter Orange Tree is an evergreen with glossy dark green leaves and fragrant white flowers. It is capable of growing up to 10 m high. It is native to Northeastern India and southern China. Though the Bitter Orange and the edible Orange are similar to each other in appearance, the stalks on the leaves show a notable difference with the Bitter Orange being much broader and in the shape of the heart.

It can be used as the oil of turpentine is used in chronic bronchitis. It does not irritate the kidneys. It can also be used to fight colds, flatulence, dull skin, constipation, stress and slow digestion.
