Legally, nothing. But you might want to let the coamnpy know. Their defense will be for you to prove that the fly was in th jar prior to you opening it. Did anyone get sick, or die? If no then more than likely they will either give you a free jar of pickles (minus the fly) or just send you your money back.In reference to the penny apple answer . Most people really do not know the whole story behind the McDonald\'s lady. She was not awarded the money because she burned herself, the money awarded wa given because of a memo that leaked out from McDonald\'s HQ telling all their franchise owners how to save money by turning the temperature of the coffee machines up, which prevents customers getting as many free refills. The judge in the case was given the memo and he ruled in favor of the lady, more as punishment to McDonald\'s. Save a penny loose a buck.
