Ginger Essential Oil

Ginger essential oil is used mainly for aromatic purposes. It is an expectorant, antiseptic, bactericidal and analgesic. It can be used in vaporizers and inhaled to help alleviate lethargy, colds, the flu and nausea. In the bath it can also be used to help ease colds and flu as well as muscle aches, arthritis, poor cirulation and rheumatism. It can also be used in hot compresses, in a base cream and in a handkerchief for quick inhalation for relief of travel sickness, colds and flu and nausea.

The scent of Vetiver essential oil is woody, earthy, pungent and remiscent of wet soil. It is a very popular ingredient in Oriental perfumes as a base note and a fixative. Due to being an anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and a cicatrisant, it can also be used to help alleviate skin problems and accelerate the healing of acne, dry skin, cuts, wounds, eczema, irritated and aging skin. In aromatherapy it is used to relieve fever, muscle aches and sprains, rheumatism and can be used to help dispel and alleviate insomnia, stress, extreme anxiety, depression, mental and physical exhaustion and hysteria.

Vanilla Essential Oil

It is a very comforting scent that often reminds us of homey feelings, maybe of baked goods or ice cream or even childhood. It is bound to bring a smile to your face. Vanilla also has great properties as it is an antioxidant, anticarcinogenic, febrifuge (fights fever) and a sedative as it lowers blood pressure and has a slightly tranquilizing effect on the brain. Thyme Red essential oil has an intense, spicy, sweet medicinal aroma that is warming. It is an antiseptic, bactericidal, diuretic, fungicidal and a sedative and is used to scent colognes, soaps and aftershaves. It is also a great oil to diffuse during the winter season due to its antiseptic property. This oil is a skin irritant as it contains a high amount of toxic phenols so use cautiously. Do not use at all if you are pregnant (as with all essential oils) or have high blood pressure.
