Unlike other sea salts, the Dead Sea variant possesses a unique mineral composition that sets it apart and adds unparalleled value to various beauty and personal care routines.

The Unique Mineral Composition of Dead Sea Salt

Dead Sea Salt's richness isn't hyperbolic. It contains an array of beneficial minerals absent in other sea salts. Some prominent minerals include:

  • Magnesium: A catalyst for cell metabolism and helps in the skin's natural repair process.
  • Calcium: Essential for strengthening cell membranes and cleansing the pores.
  • Potassium: Balances skin's moisture levels.
  • Bromide: Soothes the skin, relieving muscle cramps and reducing inflammation.

As a bath soak, it not only relaxes the muscles but also purifies the skin, drawing out impurities from deep within the pores.

Relevance in Soap Making

In the realm of artisanal soap making, Dead Sea Salt has carved a niche. When infused in soaps:

  • Texture: The coarse granules provide an exfoliating texture, offering a gentle scrubbing sensation during a bath.

  • Moisture Retention: Potassium in the salt ensures skin remains hydrated and doesn't dry out post a bath.

A Stellar Ingredient in Cosmetics

Dead Sea Salt Coarse has found its way into an array of cosmetic products, underlining its versatile utility:

  • Scrubs: As a natural exfoliant, it's a prime ingredient in body and face scrubs. The salt's coarse texture aids in removing dead skin, revealing a smoother complexion underneath.

This salt is really great to use for bath products!!!!
As a licensed esthetician (skin care specialist) in WA state I don't recommend using dead sea salt as a facial scrub due to it being extremely abrasive to your skin it will literally begin to damage the skin on your face with continued use. Use sugar as a softer substitute for a facial exfoliation. Dead sea salt is great as a BODY scrub or as a BODY soak. Please do not use it for the face.
Does anyone know if this is an actual dead sea salt from the 'Dead Sea'..bc not one description in the details of the product states where the origins of this salt is from..a simple at-home test will determine if this is genuine dead sea salt or regular, overpriced salt...
The granules are pretty big. I wasn't sure what I was looking for, but I thought I was getting salt that might be dual soak and scrub. These granules don't work well for the "scrub" part. They will make an excellent soak though.
I made bath salts out of these salts and they make an excellent bath. They hold fragrance and color very well
I like to use the dad sea salt as an exfolient in facial scrubs!
Oh my goodnes! I LOVE this salt. I use it as a treatment in the bath once a week and when I step out, I am sooo relaxed and ready to sleep. I also add a fragrant oil or Jojoba oil for additional moisture.
