Botanical Name: Pelargonium Graveolens
Plant Part:
Origin: Egypt.
Extraction Method: Steam distillation of the leaves of the Geranium herb.
Plant Description: The plant grows about 2 feet in height, has serrated pointed leaves and small pink flowers, the entire plant is aromatic.
Color: Fairly colorless, faint tinge of green.
Consistency: Thin.
Note: Middle.
Aromatic Fragrance: Wonderful, somewhat like Rose oil, sweet yet penetrating.
Aromatic Strength:
Common Applications: Bath, Massage, Inhalation, Compress.
Typically Used By: Perfumist, Cosmeticians, Aromatherapists.
Storage Directions: Essential Oils should be stored in a cool dry place out of direct sunlight. Essential Oils should be stored in colored glass, the most common storage method being used today are Boston Round Bottles in the amber tint.
Blends Well With: Angelica, Cedarwood Atlas Essential Oil, Bergamot Calabrian Essential Oil, Clary Sage Essential Oil, Grapefruit, Jasmine, Juniper Berry Essential Oil, Lavender French Essential Oil, Lime.
Cautions: Quality Geranium oil is quite expensive; it is often falsified with artificial esters, Cedarwood, turpentine's, or Lemongrass. Buy only from a trusted source. Used in moderation Geranium is completely safe for home use, used in very great quantities may result in irritation to skin.

This oil is a wonderfully cost effective alternative to rose geranium, though it is distilled from the leaves it still retains a rich floral quality to it's scent. By far one of my favorite middle notes.
