Common Applications: Ho Wood Essential Oil has recently been used as a replacement for Rosewood Essential Oil because of their similar chemical properties. It has many similar applications and is considered both stimulating and relaxing to the mind. Ho Wood is also reported to have anti-depressant, anti-microbial, anti-septic, aphrodisiac, and bactericidal properties. There are also claims that it can play a role as a cellular stimulant, cephalic, and tissue regenerator. Ho Wood is also commonly broken down by its aromatic components for resale.
Typically Used By:
Storage Directions: Essential Oils should be stored in a cool dry place out of direct sunlight. Essential Oils should be stored in colored glass, the most common storage method being used today are Boston Round Bottles in the amber tint.
Blends Well With: Bergamot, Lavender, Geranium, Sandalwood and Cedarwood.
Cautions: his product is to be avoided during pregnancy, and should not be used on sensitive skin as it is a possible dermal irritant.

Though widely suggest as an alternative to rosewood, ho wood does not smell much like rosewood at all to me, it's much less woody & much more more camphorous. Good for aromatherapy but not so much for perfumery.
